DIRECTIONS TO UCD SUMMER RESIDENCES, ROEBUCK HALL FROM AIRPORT
Walk through the arrivals terminal following signs for the EXIT to car parks and AIRCOACH. Look for blue and orange signs for the AIRCOACH (blue shuttle bus). This is located just outside Arrivals Hall to the left as you exit the building. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BUS THAT IS GOING TO: Airport to Leapordstown.
Buy a return ticket for the AIRCOACH from the driver or at the kiosk (€14 round trip) and instruct him that you want to get off the coach at UCD. Disembark at the Montrose Hotel stop, across the bridge from UCD main entrance. Roebuck Hall is located to the south end of campus. Cross the bridge, walk in the main entrance and make a left. Follow the path to the permanent stop light (beyond the bus terminus). Turn left. Continue up the street, passing the temporary parking lot on your right hand side. Roebuck Hall is just beyond the parking lot on your right.
DIRECTIONS TO O’CONNELL HOUSE FROM UCD SUMMER RESIDENCES, ROEBUCK HALL – The bus to O’Connell House leaves the bus stop across from the Quinn School of Business (you can see it from Roebuck Hall). You will be taking the 39A bus. Walk to the bus stop (not the bus) labelled 39A – there are 4 bus shelters on the small loop – the 39A stops at the last one. The bus will cost €1.85, and you need exact change.
1. The bus leaves UCD campus and merges onto Stillorgan Road.
2. 7-10 minutes later, it turns right onto Waterloo Road.
3. It then turns left onto Baggot Street.
4. Once the bus crosses the canal, look out for the Bank of Ireland on your right hand side. When you see it, push the STOP button, and exit immediately at the next stop.
5. Turn right off the bus and walk to the intersection.
6. At the intersection turn right and walk one block.
7. At the next light turn left. O’Connell House is the sixth door on your left hand side, No. 58. To gain entry, press the top buzzer button on the right hand side of the door. Please note opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
DIRECTIONS TO O’CONNELL HOUSE FROM AIRPORT – To get FROM the airport TO O’Connell House (58 Merrion Square South) – Walk through the arrivals terminal following signs for the EXIT to car parks and AIRCOACH. Look for blue and orange signs for the AIRCOACH (blue shuttle bus). This is located just outside Arrivals Hall to the left as you exit the building. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BUS THAT IS GOING TO: Airport to Ballsbridge.
Buy a return ticket for the AIRCOACH from the driver (€14 round trip) and instruct him that you want to get off the coach at Merrion Square. Disembark at the American College, the north-west end of Merrion Square (an enclosed park). O’Connell House is located on the opposite end. Cross the street so you are walking alongside the park. Continue up the street, passing the National Gallery of Ireland on your right hand side. When you reach the end of the park, take a left and walk down the street until you reach No. 58 – O’Connell House. To gain entry, press the top buzzer button on the right hand side of the door. Please note opening hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.
