Getting to OCH from the airport

The Aircoach is a designated bus service that runs directly from multiple points in the city to Dublin Airport, and vice versa. It is a quick, clean, safe, cost effective way to travel to and from the airport. A one way fare costs just seven euro. The city centre route stops at O’Connell Street and Trinity College, both of which are convenient to O’Connell House. Aircoach also runs from the sliproad outside UCD, about five minutes from the student residences. Aircoach is the cheapest option for those travelling from UCD, unless there is a large group, in which case booking an eight seater taxi (available on Hailo) works out at roughly the same price. From the city centre, a taxi to the airport should cost around €30, so one cab split four ways works out as roughly the same price as the Aircoach. However, taxi lines from the airport often have excessive waiting times, so the aircoach is usually the quickest way to get back to UCD or the city centre.
